North City Developing Guided Tour of City’s Gravel Pits

Visitors have a brand new attraction to check out when they visit North City. North City has always been known for its’ gravel pits. And what better use of a gravel pit than as a tourist attraction. With that in mind, North City council has proudly announced that a guided tour of many of the most the most popular pits is now open. This new tour, just unveiling today, has been named the “Pits of Splendor” program.and it’s free to all.

City officials have been told for years by tourists that, “All we ever see is gravel pits when we come to North City.” Members of the planning team told NCN reporters, ”We thought, well if visitors are going to see all our many fine gravel pits anyway, why can’t the city cash in on that? NO one has better pits than we do.”

Tourists can check out the grandeur of these famous pits from newly constructed viewing sites or, in the case of inactive pits, visitors can experience the pit by walking around the many access roads provided.

Guides to the tour will be available weekdays. Each has extensive knowledge of gravel pits history and are ready to answer the many questions that visitors are sure to have. There is even a mech shop that offers .”Pits of Splendor” t-shirts and specially packaged samples of gravel that has been extracted from actual pits.
